Quick answers for creating, purchasing, storing, importing, and exporting with CanvasBooth.

OFFLINE

Can CanvasBooth work offline?

Yes. Editing, camera sessions, local projects, exports, and previously owned templates work on the device. Internet is needed for purchases and purchase restoration. The web editor can edit locally after loading; opening it without internet is not guaranteed.

PURCHASES

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Store from the home screen → Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase.

STORAGE

Where are projects stored?

Projects stay in CanvasBooth’s private storage on this device. Removing the app or clearing app data may remove them, so create an offline backup first.

PORTABLE FILES

How do I move a template?

Export a .canvasbooth file and save it to Files, Drive, or another location. On the other device, choose Import design pack from the Create page.

CAMERA & PHOTOS

A permission was denied

Open the device’s system settings, find CanvasBooth, and enable the camera or photo access required by the feature. CanvasBooth does not use the microphone.

BACKUP

Moving from an APK or to a new device

Before uninstalling, open Settings → Storage & Backup → Create backup. Save the ZIP outside the app, install the new version, then use Restore backup.

WEB PURCHASES

Does a web purchase unlock the mobile app?

Web purchases currently unlock the web version only. Native purchases use the original Apple/Google account. There is no automatic purchase linking between them.

RECOVERY

Restoring web purchases

Save the secret recovery code before checkout. Open Purchases in the web editor and enter it to restore access in another browser. It restores purchase access, not local projects. Do not send recovery codes in public reports. If you lose both the code and session, contact private support; recovery is not guaranteed without proof of ownership.

PAYMENT STATUS

I paid but access is still locked

Use Check payment in web Purchases and allow pending payments to settle. Avoid paying again for the same product while the first payment is unresolved. If unresolved, contact private support with the provider, approximate time, product and order reference. Never send full card details or a recovery code publicly.

CAMPAIGN MEASUREMENT

Can I turn it off?

Yes. Campaign measurement is optional and off by default. Use Settings to stop new events. iOS additionally requires system tracking authorization. Turning it off does not prevent editing or purchases and cannot recall events already sent or in flight.
